MONO FARMHOUSE: A DREAM PROJECT

One of the best parts of our business is when we are able to watch a property evolve long after the transaction is complete. Two years ago, we helped a dear client and friend purchase a farm in Mono Township which she has been transforming into something incredibly special. We are thrilled to be able to share part of the journey with you over a short series. 

 As an avid equestrienne sick of spending hours driving to and from Toronto our client came to us in search of a country house with peace, privacy, and proximity to her horses in mind.  After looking at a few different options, a property that had previously been listed came back to market and we thought it would be worth a look. An 1890 red brick farmhouse on 29 acres that had only ever been owned by two families. The house and property had a lot of character but was in need of some updating. Not exactly what we set out looking for (it never is), but the farm spoke to our client, and she decided to take the leap. 

With the help of the incredibly talented Regan Hayes from Regan Hayes Design they embarked on a major transformation. It was important to everyone to honour the original charm and character of the home while understanding that there were some modern amenities that needed to be incorporated. We were recently treated to a tour of the finished product and to say we were blown away is a massive understatement. The home is what dreams are made of and we are very excited to take you on a tour of some of our favourite parts.
